Old Creel's Local Impact in 2024
Reflecting on 2024, we at Old Creel Canoe & Kayak aimed to positively influence our local community and environment. Through customer support, we contributed to three notable organizations: Nova Scotia Nature Trust, IWK Health Centre, and McDonald Sports Park. Thanks to our customers for their support, enabling these donations! We are proud of the big impact our small local business has on the community!
Environmental Protection
Nova Scotia Nature Trust has always been an organization that resonates with us. Paddling in natural environments is a wellness journey for us. As such we made a financial donation to the NS Nature Trust!
Community Impact
The IWK Health Centre is an organization whose impact is so profound in Nova Scotia, it truly is a pillar of our community. We wanted to do our small part and donated a canoe to their annual charity fundraiser. Read about it in the Instagram post below.
Local Park Improvements
The village of Waverley has a wonderful community park directly across Lake Thomas from our shop. In previous years they installed one of our Bertrand Dock systems, which is a great public launching spot for paddling. When the park was discussing a new Pavilion we knew we wanted to support a project that would allow for community events and meetings. We were proud to make a financial donation to support this project.
